Institute for Information Technology and Communications
Welcome to the website of the Institute for Information Technology and Communications.
Topics related to communication and information technology are of high relevance is academic and industrial research. The institute works on a broad spectrum of state of the art topics in electrical engineering. In the focus are radar systems, personal companion systems, human-computer-interaction, and run-time adaptive hardware accelerators in heterogeneous systems for big data applications.
The institute consists of the chair for high frequency- and communication technology of Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Holger Maune., the chair of Integrated Electronic Systems of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Fabian Lurz, the chair of cognitive systems of Prof. Dr. rer. nat Andreas Wendemuth, the chair of hardware-oriented technical computer science of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Thilo Pionteck, the group for Mobile Dialogue Systems of Jun.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ingo Siegert, the group for neuro-information technology of apl. Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Ayoub Al-Hamadi and the honorary chair for neuronal systems of Hon.-Prof. Dr.-Ing. Udo Seiffert.
The IIKT takes part in the teaching at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology to educate electrical engineers. Several basic courses are offered as well as the advanced modules on information and communication technology. The course “smart systems” is offered in cooperation with industry and the University for Applied Sciences Magdeburg-Stendal. Please visit our website for further information.
We invite you to stroll around on our website for further information about our field of work and knowledge.
Yours sincerely
