Michael Tornow was born in Magdeburg, Germany
In 2001 he worked at North-Western-Medical-Physics/Christie Hospital Manchester,UK on medical image processing for improvements in radio therapie
He received his Master Degree (Dipl.-Ing) in Electrical Engineering & Information Technology in 2002
Since 2002 he work on Hardware Implementations (FPGA) of High Speed Image Processing Algorithms for Environment Perception
He received his PhD. in Technical Computer Science at the Otto-von-Guericke-University of Magdeburg, Germany in 2009.
Besides other teaching activites he established the Lecture „Embedded Image Processing“ (Embedded Bildverarbeitung)
