Das Programm ikannotate2 wurde in Kooperation mit dem Lehrstuhl Kognitive System der Otto-von-Guericke-Univerität Magdeburg entwickelt und bietet die Möglichkeit Audio- und Videomaterial zu annotieren. Der Fokus in der Annotation liegt auf der Emotionsannotation und es werden neben Kategorienbasierter Emotion (Basisemotionen) auch das Geneva-Emotion-Wheel sowie Self-Assessment-Manikins unterstützt. Weiterhin können auch eigene Kategorien für das Labeln vergeben werden.
